Melina A. Rauskolb is a family law attorney with a focused practice representing parents in custody matters, including cases involving children on the autism spectrum. Ms. Rauskolb brings both professional and personal experience to her work in this area. As the mother of an autistic adult child, she understands the importance of consistency, routine, and thoughtful planning in a child’s life. She works closely with clients to develop custody arrangements that promote stability and support long-term developmental needs. Her background in psychology, combined with her experience as an ABA-certified therapist providing direct services to children with autism, allows her to approach these cases with a well-informed and nuanced perspective.
Ms. Rauskolb earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland, where she developed a strong foundation in behavioral science that continues to inform her approach to family law matters.
Separate and apart from her family law practice, Ms. Rauskolb has extensive experience in criminal law. She has served as an Assistant Public Defender, representing individuals in a wide range of criminal matters, and later as a prosecutor in both Carroll County and Baltimore City. Her prosecutorial experience includes serving as the domestic violence prosecutor in the Special Victims Unit in Carroll County, as well as handling cases in the Firearms and Narcotics Division in Baltimore City. She has also operated her own criminal defense practice.
This substantial courtroom and trial experience gives Ms. Rauskolb a strong foundation in litigation, advocacy, and case strategy. She is comfortable in high-conflict environments and brings a disciplined, prepared approach to every matter she handles.
